To effectively
lead, control and direct the Risk Management function (Risk
Assessment, Risk Policy) within the Fund Administration and
Global Custody business units of this highly reputable group.
To initiate and provide proactive and
strategic direction, sales support and client service support
to the business with respect to Risk Management issues.
Plan, develop and oversee the control
capabilities of this subject with regards to structure, resources,
service provision and regulatory/procedural compliance, whilst
ensuring no adverse effects on operational efficiency or client
service delivery.
To proactively communicate and introduce
as product development subjects, industry trends and best
practices for the risk protection, enhancement and competitive
differentiation of the business.
To ensure the effective synchronization
of the foregoing with other areas of business through the
Senior Management Team and appropriate channels.
Candidates will have direct influence over the effectiveness
of processes, procedures and policies impacting the Risk Management
function and have specific authority within established policies/budgets
to make operating decisions in the management of the business
area and approve all expenditures. Also the successful candidate
will be required to develop the business strategy of the unit.
- The position requires extensive knowledge of Fund Administration
and / or Global Custody, banking legislation, practical
legal experience and risk management principles.
- Above average facilitator able to adjudicate conflicting
opinions to satisfactory conclusions.
- Superior verbal and written communication skills.
- Advance knowledge of products, company and market.
- Analytical thinking and a strategic approach to the business.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and networking abilities
with sub-custodians, investment managers, industry associations,
business leaders, regulators and government officials.
